Money- 10 Facts to Impress your Friends

I want Money, Lots and Lots of Money.

Calloway – I Want to Be Rich

classic.
(this will be stuck in your head all day, sorry)

Money Matters, but Does it?

As a Certified Financial Planner, I must admit to you, that being “rich” is not the goal.  It never was, nor will it ever be.  But, a song entitled “I want to accomplish all of my financials goals and objectives in a reasonable time frame”just doesn’t sound as catchy. So, I will have to deal with “being rich” as the catch all for all things financial.

With being rich as the “faux goal”, I would like to point out that Money is the tool of my trade to accomplish this goal.  While some people swing a hammer, rock a guitar, or slice with a scalpel all day, I deal in dollars and cents.

Because of its importance to me, I have read many books on the topic including: “The History of Money” by Jack Weatherford, and The Ascent of Money by Niall Ferguson.  (books are not endorsed by IFS Securities or related parties)

These books are great at detailing the evolution of the mighty dollar so if you are interested in that, I suggest you check out a copy from your local library.(yes USE YOUR LIBRARY)
