Life Partners

Your life partner should have the same or similar financial goals as you.

They don’t have to have the same ideas about money but the same goals are mandatory.

Because life is all about accomplishing those goals. And how you do that should connect to how you handle money.

If you need to save $500 a month to send your kids to college and that’s your only goal, as long as the $500 gets saved, does it matter what is done with the rest of the cash? No.

If your partner wants to spend or save all the rest it shouldn’t matter.

Now if you stack other goals on top and they aren’t on board… Houston we have a problem.

The goals have to align and that should take care of everything else.

So talk about your goals with your partner. Discuss the future. Be open and honest.
